Noel Logan and Sandy Thompson

With twelve years experience as principal of a Victorian Government secondary college, Noel is familiar with the operation of government agencies. In this position, his responsibilities included:

• management of a school budget around $1.5 million;
• appointment, induction, and management of up to 70 staff members;
• the management and welfare of up to 700 students.

Noel was also a member, for three years, of the Board of Directors of CREATE (Geelong) - a community based agency that delivers a wide range of pre-vocational, vocational, living skills and personal development programs.

In recent years he has worked for a company that provided consultancy services to the Victorian Education Department, Victorian Auditor General’s Department, and the Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training.

Sandy joined Successful Resumes after a long teaching career in the Victorian Department of Education, with eight years experience in the principal class, including Campus principal for a large Victorian Girls Secondary College. Her responsibilities have included the management and employment of over 100 staff, the education and welfare of up to 1000 students, administration and resource management, development of strategic plans, applications, reports and submissions, tender management, analysing data, budget preparations etc. Sandy has in depth knowledge of state government processes, addressing selection criteria and the interview process within the public service.

Sandy also brings expertise as a successful tour and events manager for the professional musical group The Sweethearts, www.sweethearts.com.au . Sandy has supported and managed large groups of musicians locally, interstate and overseas to many festivals in Europe including the Montreux International Jazz, Poretta Soul, Lucerne Blues and Palma Summer festivals.
