History of Successful Resumes
Successful Resumes was established by John Little in the early 1990's after he sold his flourishing advertising agency which he had started in 1982.
Seeking a new challenge in which to use his business knowledge, his
experience employing and managing people, as well as his creative marketing
expertise, after considerable research and analysis of employers'
requirements and applicants' needs, he concluded that:
- Resumes, only too often treated
as a simple typing exercise, contained boring lists of historical task related data, and were totally lacking in dynamic and marketing focus, and consequently were basically
ineffective at selling the applicant.
- Resumes, to be successful needed
to professionally analyse and individually market people's personal qualities as well
as their strengths, their skills and their achievements.
- There was the need for a strong
professional resume service that could
meet the needs of all Australians wherever they may be located.
After 18 years and with an ever expanding
network of resume writers across Sydney, NSW, Vic. W.A. Qld
and the ACT, John decided that the time had come to think
about international expansion, especially the UK based in
London. So the Australian operation has been renamed Successful
Resumes Australia and the London business has been registered.

Diversity Awareness training to some of Australia's largest corporations
and government departments. This regularly brings him into contact
with large employers, recruiters and senior HR professionals.
Additionally, from time to time, he is requested to sit on interview selection panels for state government departments positions.
